The lab employs 10 people: 7 are Ph.D candidates, 1 is a post-doctoral fellow and 2 are MSc students.

  • Director: Mathias Legrand
  • Scientific orientation: linear and nonlinear rotordynamics, unilateral contact mechanics, nonsmooth dynamics, large-scale systems, nonlinear vibration and modal analysis, reduced-order models, fluid-structure interaction
  • Research focus: The laboratory is part of the Mechanical Engineering Department at McGill University. It is concerned with theoretical knowledge as well as the development of new tools and methods capable of bringing solutions to practical problems in the industrial sphere. Related research and education are focused on Vibration, Acoustics, Structural Dynamics, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Wave Propagation.
